Deforestation: What do Trees Mean to Me?

Description

Students obtain an understanding of the many causes of deforestation and how humans impact their natural environment by:

  • creating a mind-map of what they know about deforestation, which can then be supplemented with information from the provided teacher notes.
  • working in small groups to examine how deforestation affects them.

After regrouping, debriefing and some note taking, teachers may elect to assign the posed research activity.
